Unfortunately, you might find Sketchup doesn’t exactly meet your requirements. This tool brings tons of features to visualize your ideas. Anyone with an iPad or iPhone will be able to tap on the link and instantly view your Jig.įeel free to let us know if you have any more questions.Sketchup is a great 3D design software that is mainly used for architectural rendering. For now you should be able to set your Jig to public and share a link to it online. We aren’t able to export files from the Workshop yet, but we are interested in creating this as a feature in the future.

It might be that our rotations aren’t compatible and if that’s the case rotating it 90 degrees in blender may be a quick solution. The reason Orientation is wrong is a problem that often arises between 3D programs as many of them use the Z and Y axis interchangeably. The Medium quality deflection angle is 45 degrees, while High quality is 5 degrees. The reason STEP files exported from Shapr3D have sharp angles instead of smooth edges is because they offer medium quality STL files for free and high quality STL files are a feature of their paid Pro License package. We are adding more features here soon though, and will keep you posted when these are close to being released. We currently don’t have any adjustable scale settings when importing files, the JigWorkshop just reads the information that is given. If this doesn’t work I would recommend scaling up the file using a free program like Blender. From what I’ve gathered on their forums you may be able to fix this by setting the Unit scale in Shapr3D to mm (millimeters) before exporting. OBJ’s are so small when exported from Shapr3D is because their OBJ exporter creates a unitless file type.
